Excalibur Ring

Hello and welcome to the Ring of Excalibur!

"Excalibur is said to be the sword given to Arthur by the Lady of the Lake. Some say that Arthur gave it Gawain (one the Knights of the Round Table). After his last battle it was returned to the water where it was grasped by a hand and drawn under. Its scabbard prevented the user from losing blood. When Gawain fought the Mabon (a magician or a god) over the fairy Marsique, she obtained the scabbard for him but it later disappeared. The Welsh name for Excalibur was Caladvwlch and the Irish called it Caladbolg, the name of the sword used by heros in Irish legends derived from the calad (hard) and blog (lightning)."

May the light of Excalibur lead you to Arthur, Merlin, Morgan, Lancelot, Guinevere and all the fine Knights and Ladies of the Realm! While staying here, meet the enchanted and enchanting folke!

The Excalibur Webring is for any site that focuses on topics concerning Fantasy, History, Arthurian Legends, Fairies, Dragons, Witches, Lords and Ladies, Knights, Courtly Love, Avalon, Camelot, Magicians and Wizards, Celtic Mythology, Artwork, such as Pre-Raphaelite . . . and so much more!

Sites do not have to cover these topics exclusively, but they should have some content that honors the Arthurian Legends, Enchanted Creatures, Folk and Fairies, Codes of Honor, Chilvary, Angels, History, Poetry, etc. Most topics will be considered - let your imagination run free!

Excalibur is not for sites that are just links to other sites, or ones with one page that say "gee, I like dragons and one day I will get around to putting something more on my page then just that!"
